Job summary

B&S Site Development LLC in Winchester, Virginia is seeking a Utility Pipe Layer to join our field crew. You will assess ground conditions, dig trenches, assemble and lay pipes, and ensure proper sealing and alignment in line with project specs.

Candidates should have 1-2 years of construction experience, a GED or HS diploma, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Trade school is a plus as we support safety and efficiency on all heavy civil sites.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of construction experience.
• GED/high school diploma or related work experience.
• Trade school a plus.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment/materials up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Measuring and configuring pipe routes.
• Gathering material and installation tools.
• Digging trenches using hand and machine trenching tools.
• Locating installed piping systems using magnetic or radio indicators.
• Removing old or broken piping systems.
• Laying pipes into trenches and applying pipe spacers.
• Checking pipe alignment and sealing pipes with cement glue.
• Installing auxiliary lines.
• Sealing exposed pipe joints and fittings.
• Filling and sealing pipe trenches.
