Job summary

B&S Site Development LLC is hiring a Utility Pipe Layer to assess ground conditions, dig trenches, assemble and lay pipes per city standards. You will remove old piping, seal joins, and install auxiliary lines.

Strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques and good physical fitness are required to efficiently support the construction crew. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of construction experience, a GED or high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of construction experience.
• GED/high school diploma or related work experience.
• Trade school a plus.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment/materials up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Measuring and configuring pipe routes.
• Gathering material and installation tools.
• Digging trenches using hand and machine trenching tools.
• Locating installed piping systems using magnetic or radio indicators.
• Removing old or broken piping systems.
• Laying pipes into trenches and applying pipe spacers.
• Checking pipe alignment and sealing pipes with cement glue.
• Installing auxiliary lines.
• Sealing exposed pipe joints and fittings.
• Filling and sealing pipe trenches.
