Job summary

B&S Site Development LLC is hiring a Utility Pipe Layer in Virginia to assess ground conditions, dig trenches, assemble and lay pipes per city ordinances. You may remove old piping, seal joins, and install auxiliary lines.

A strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques and excellent physical fitness are essential. Responsibilities include measuring routes, gathering tools, digging trenches, locating installed piping, and sealing joints and trenches.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of construction experience.
• GED/high school diploma or related work experience.
• Trade school a plus.

Responsibilities

• Measuring and configuring pipe routes.
• Gathering material and installation tools.
• Digging trenches using hand and machine trenching tools.
• Locating installed piping systems using magnetic or radio indicators.
• Removing old or broken piping systems.
• Laying pipes into trenches and applying pipe spacers.
• Checking pipe alignment and sealing pipes with cement glue.
• Installing auxiliary lines.
• Sealing exposed pipe joints and fittings.
• Filling and sealing pipe trenches.
