Plastipak is seeking a Utility Mechanic to keep our Jersey facility running safely and efficiently. You will implement preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and drive improvements that protect equipment, product, and people.

The role requires 3+ years in industrial maintenance, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical up to 480v, and the ability to interpret manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining industrial facility and production systems.
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems up to 600psi.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480v.
• Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and interpret technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor, and continuously improve preventative maintenance plans for critical building and production systems.
• Ensure continuous operation of utility infrastructure including boilers, chillers, air compression systems up to 600psi, and HVAC.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical malfunctions on production and facility equipment.
• Rebuild and fabricate spare parts to minimize downtime.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to support troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain strict compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, and operational best practices.

What You Will Do

What You Will Need

• Solid understanding of plumbing, airflow systems, and PLCs..

Shift & Compensation

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Pay: based on experience and skill level
