Job summary

Plastipak is hiring a Production Technician to operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a clean, controlled facility in Woodbridge Township, NJ. The role emphasizes quality checks, equipment monitoring, and routine maintenance to meet customer specs.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in manufacturing with exposure to extrusion or blow molding, and basic hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical knowledge to troubleshoot issues effectively.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a Manufacturing Process Technician or similar role.
• Experience with extrusion or blow molding equipment preferred.
• Ability to read specifications and verify bottle weights and dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor equipment and adjust settings (heat, water cooling, hydraulic pressure) to ensure quality outputs.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Ensure Plastipak customer requirements by conducting quality checks on products.

As a Production Technician, you operate equipment to manufacture plastic containers for leading consumer brands. As a Production Technician, You Will

• Operate a variety of top-of-the-line extrusion & blow-molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, safe & climate-controlled environment
• Monitor equipment, making adjustments to settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure, etc.) to produce high-quality rigid plastic containers
• Troubleshoot equipment & perform routine preventative maintenance
• Assure Plastipak customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications, such as bottle weights & dimensions

This Is A Great Fit If You Have

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Manufacturing Process Technician working with equipment used for high-volume production
• Working knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment is preferred
• Hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical mechanical basic knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot & problem solve

Pay & Shift

• Days: 6:30am-7:00pm (3-2-2-3 Schedule)
• $25+/hr.
