Job summary

City of North Richland Hills is seeking a Billing Clerk to ensure accurate utility billing and timely distribution of bills. You will analyze meter data, post readings, and generate bills for water and commercial services, while supporting customers and handling account terminations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or Equivalency, two years of customer service experience in accounts receivable or billing, and a valid Texas Class C Driver’s License.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate billing of utility services.
• Analyze data from meter readings and post readings in the computer system.
• Generate bills for water services and commercial garbage services.
• Ensure monthly bills for utility services are distributed on time.
• Prepare final bills for termination of service customers.
• Provide customer service support.
• Issue work orders for activation and termination of services.
• Enter and process applications for new fire hydrant accounts and commercial garbage accounts.
• Maintain the filing system and distribute delinquent account information to customers.
• Track billing cycle dates and respond to inquiries from businesses and citizens.
