City of Tomball is seeking an entry-level Utilities Serviceperson to support the construction, operation, and maintenance of water, sewer, and gas systems. You will diagnose leaks, perform routine repairs, install water meters, and operate small machinery in outdoor settings.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to procedures; prior experience is not required, but a valid driver’s license is preferred and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required; on-site maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose basic leaks and perform repairs under supervision.
• Valid driver's license and gas/water utility familiarity desired.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and repair water, sewer, and gas lines under supervision.
• Identify leaks and perform repairs to restore services promptly.
• Install water meters and operate relevant equipment safely.
• Handle outdoor field tasks, including equipment operation and safety checks.
