Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s Brunswick Cellulose facility is seeking a Utilities Supervisor to lead the safe operation of boilers, turbines, and power systems on a 12-hour rotating shift. You will mentor salaried and hourly staff, drive reliability improvements, and partner with engineers, maintenance, and procurement to meet safety and production goals.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Experience with maintenance strategies including AMWP and preventive/reliability-centered maintenance.
• Experience leading continuous improvement efforts.
• Experience with utilities systems: black liquor recovery boilers, evaporators, bark boiler, natural gas boilers, turbines, feedwater systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to ensure safe and environmentally compliant operation of boilers, turbines, and power distribution systems.
• Foster a proactive safety culture and lead risk identification and mitigation.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve department performance and reliability metrics.
• Collaborate with maintenance leadership to execute operating plans and address reliability issues.
