Job summary

City of Rowlett is seeking a Utilities Service Coordinator to identify city water, sewer, traffic signals, and fiber assets in the field. You will mark locations, coordinate with crews, and update facility plans while maintaining cost records and ensuring safe work practices.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and four years of related field experience; licenses from TCEQ are preferred and a Texas driver license is required. This position involves regular fieldwork and driving.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and four years of traffic signals, water, sewer and construction experience or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Locates underground City infrastructure by marking utilities with flags and paint markings.
• Determines and marks the location of existing water and wastewater mains using plats, site plans and utility maps.
• Coordinates with contractors and field crews to perform water shutdowns and arrange excavations with minimal service disruption.
• Provides accurate information on line locations and taps to property owners.
• Assists with directing field crews in installing new water and wastewater services.
• Maintains records of labor, equipment and material costs for infrastructure improvements.
