Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking an experienced Utilities Technician in Victorville to oversee the operation and maintenance of facility utilities, boilers, and grounds. You will lead the MSE PM initiatives and manage contractor relationships to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient facility operations.

The role requires 5+ years in facility maintenance, a background in boiler systems, and strong leadership and CMMS knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in facility maintenance or utilities management.
• Experience with boiler start-up, shutdown, and troubleshooting.
• Boiler Operator’s License or equivalent is preferred.
• Led Mars Supply Excellence Preventive Maintenance programs.
• Experience managing vendors and contractors.
• Knowledge of building and utility systems and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of facility utilities including boilers, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Manage boiler operations, start-up/shutdown, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes, environmental regulations, and guidelines.
• Lead PM strategies for utilities, buildings, and grounds under MSE/TPM.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance and repairs.
• Supervise maintenance staff and provide boiler safety training.
• Develop budgets for utilities, buildings, and grounds; plan capital projects.
