Job summary

Berner Food & Beverage LLC is seeking a Facility Maintenance Lead to oversee the safe operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of plant utility systems including boilers, chillers, HVAC, and related equipment. This role provides hands‑on technical leadership with emphasis on accurate data collection, compliance reporting, and cross‑functional communication.

Qualifications

• Three years industrial maintenance experience or technical maintenance training.
• Experience with boilers, chillers, or HVAC systems preferred.
• Ability to lead by example and support team development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system tracking.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, walking, and climbing ladders.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation and maintenance of facility utility systems for reliability.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs per manuals and PM programs.
• Guide technicians in troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Conduct daily wet chemistry water testing and record data accurately.
• Manage large volumes of operational and compliance data and reporting.
• Promote safety standards and best practices across maintenance activities.
• Maintain professional presence and foster an accountable team environment.
• Ensure proper use and upkeep of tools and equipment.
