Job summary

R.M. Palmer Company is seeking a Lead Industrial Utility Technician to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot critical support systems across our manufacturing facilities.

You will lead a team of Industrial Utility Technicians, coordinate daily work, train staff, and ensure safety and reliability of HVAC, boilers, compressors, and related infrastructure. The role requires a strong background in industrial maintenance, leadership experience, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school certification or technical training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or industrial maintenance strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance, utility, HVAC, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Previous lead technician or team coordination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems and related utility equipment.
• Lead and coordinate daily activities of Industrial Utility Technicians and assign work orders.
• Provide hands-on training and oversight to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot facility systems including compressed air, steam, and water systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and facility projects.
