Job summary

City of Plantation seeks an exempt administrator to lead the Utility Billing and Customer Service Division within the Utilities Department. You will direct water metering billing, AMI data system operations, and customer service with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting.

You will oversee cashiering, meter reading, collections, and related financial processes, including budgeting, policy development, and staff training to ensure excellent service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Public Administration, plus 3 years in utilities or large billing.
• Experience in AMI metering, utility billing, and local government.
• Strong supervisory and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise cashiering, meter reading, customer service, and billing functions.
• Oversee AMI data system maintenance and software testing.
• Coordinate billing schedules, payments, and data reporting.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of billing and collections.
• Develop policies and procedures for billing staff.
• Prepare monthly variance reporting and budget input.
• Provide staff training and performance evaluation.
