Benesch seeks a Roadway Project Engineer to join our transportation team, focusing on planning, design, and construction of roadways for public agencies in Utah.

The role involves preparing and reviewing plans, specifications, and estimates, mentoring technical staff, and coordinating with communities to meet client goals. Utah PE preferred or obtainable on hire, with strong MicroStation/OpenRoads skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or higher is required.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner.
• Experience working with UDOT and/or municipalities.
• Proficient with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and complex modeling design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Utah Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain upon hire (Preferred).
• Project experience in transportation engineering design (Preferred).
• Digital delivery and alternate delivery experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop detailed designs of urban and rural roadways from preliminary to final design.
• Collaborate with team members, communities, and stakeholders to define data needs, project requirements, and outputs to develop applications.
• Compile and coordinate plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items.
• Support studies and alternative analysis to determine best solutions to meet compliance and client goals.
• Work with various disciplines and reviewers to ensure complete, accurate, and high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to proposal development.
• Manage small projects, project tasks, and assist Project Managers in overall large project delivery.
• Manage and maintain project documentation.
