Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company in Utah is seeking a Roadway Project Engineer to advance transportation infrastructure projects. The role focuses on planning, engineering design, and construction of roadways for public agencies, with responsibilities to review plans, specifications, and cost estimates and mentor junior staff.

The successful candidate will lead design efforts, collaborate with stakeholders, and manage small projects while supporting project managers on larger initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Ability to work in a team on challenging projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner.
• Experience with UDOT and/or municipalities.
• Proficient with Microstation, ORD and complex modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs of urban and rural roadways from preliminary to final design.
• Collaborate with team members, communities, and stakeholders to define data needs and outputs.
• Coordinate plans, specifications, estimates, and pay items.
• Support studies and alternative analysis to meet client goals and compliance.
• Work with various disciplines to ensure complete, high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to proposal development and assist project managers.
