Job summary

Lob is seeking a Senior Manager to lead USPS Programs, overseeing compliance, promotions, and strategic postal initiatives. You will partner with Logistics, Operations, Sales, and Product to optimize mail production and delivery while navigating USPS regulations.

You will analyze mail trends, influence postal policy through MTAC and Keep Us Posted, and drive cost savings via rate structures and presort strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years in a USPS-related role within a direct mail, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• Deep understanding of USPS rules, mail classification, and postal optimization strategies such as presort, commingling, and drop shipping.
• Familiarity with postal software (PostalOne!, Mail.dat) and relevant logistics platforms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Problem-solving with strategic thinking and innovative solutions.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Active involvement with MTAC, NAPM, PostCom a plus.

Responsibilities

• USPS Compliance and Strategy: act as USPS liaison and SME to internal teams and USPS.
• Data-driven monitoring of mail efficiency and delivery performance; adjust strategies as needed.
• Develop and maintain reports on mailing performance, cost, and compliance for leadership.
• Lead end-to-end USPS promotions, coordinating with Product and Sales to maximize savings.
• Manage vendor/partner relationships and negotiate rates with USPS and industry groups.
• Represent the company within MTAC and other USPS organizations to influence policy.
• Translate industry changes into actionable operational improvements.
• Drive adoption of USPS products, services, or technologies to improve delivery and customer experience.
• Educate internal teams on USPS policies and best practices.
