Job summary

Radisson Hotel Group in Kalamazoo is seeking a Security/Guest Services Associate to support events, check tickets, guide guests, and enforce safety protocols. You will interact with patrons in a courteous manner while maintaining security standards.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, work evenings and weekends, and lift up to 40 pounds. You may work solo or as part of a team to ensure a smooth event experience.

• Able to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds when needed.
• Able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Check all tickets and verify validity with dates.
• Direct patrons to seats, restrooms, and facilities as required.
• Perform security screening, including magnetometer scans and bag checks.
• Enforce NO smoking policy and safety protocols.
• Assist with lost and found and secure entry/exit points after events.

Job DescriptionWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:May include, but not limited to:Check all tickets and make sure they are valid with the right dateapplying wristbands or handstamps as required per eventDirect patrons to seat, ATM, restrooms, Box office, Security, Guests relations, etcBe courteous to ALL patronsPerform Security screening processes; screening techniques of Magnetometer scans, Handwand scans, pat downs, and bag checks when Security has been re-positioned for the eventMake sure that no outside food or unexplained packages are admitted into facility during an eventEnsure no alcohol leaves the facilityHave flashlight available to use when neededWatch section and enforce the NO smoking policyAfter the event, check in area for lost and found, turn in at office, assure that outside doors are securedWHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION:Excellent customer service skillsAvailable to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays (Occasional morning shifts per event type)Able to work alone, or in a team environmentAble to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or moreAble to stoop and bendAble to lift up to 40 pounds from time to timeAble to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipmentAble to comply with safety and health code standardsAble to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks
