Job summary

Fort Bend Epicenter in Rosenberg, Texas seeks an energetic Usher to safely escort guests to seats and assist with event operations. This part-time, non-exempt position reports to the Events Supervisor and is based at the Fort Bend Epicenter venue.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, guiding them to seats, locating exits and amenities, aiding ADA guests, maintaining walkways, and handling simple disputes with tact. Availability for events is essential.

• Ensures all walkways, aisles and designated seating areas are clean and free of debris
• Calmly assists with disputes involving tickets and seats
• Assists with guest complaints or concerns and reports to management
• Monitors events for unruly behavior and reports to management
• Watches for safety or security issues and reports to management
• Assist and transport guests as needed around the facility during event
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned by management

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Usher will safely and courteously escort venue guests to their seats and will assist with the operation of events.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Greets guests and assists them in finding their seats
• Assists guests with locating exits and amenities such as restrooms and food & beverage locations
• Assists any ADA guests or any other special needs to and from their seats

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be outgoing and able to provide exceptional customer service
• Must be able to adhere to a schedule, arrive on time for events and stay for the duration of events
• Must be able to successfully complete provided on-the-job training
• Ability to learn venue layout and operating guidelines
• Must be at least 18 years of age

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Facility has intermitted noise
