Job summary

Planet Honda is hiring a Vehicle Acquisition Coordinator to boost our used-car inventory. You’ll identify acquisition opportunities through various channels, appraise vehicles, negotiate prices, and manage all related documentation. Training will be provided; dealership experience not required.

You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment with Saturday/evening shifts, and a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and retention. Competitive total rewards apply.

Qualifications

• 2 years of automotive industry experience.
• Experience in retail, sales, telemarketing, or similar customer-facing roles.
• Ability to work independently and meet goals with minimal oversight.
• Familiarity with dealership systems and customer relationship management software.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to connect with people.
• Strong organizational skills and tech-savvy mindset.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Your Mission as a Vehicle Acquisition Coordinator is to Earn Customers for Life - you'll assist in boosting our Used Car inventory by identifying acquisition and upgrade opportunities through our Service Drive, Kelley Blue Book, and traditional auctions. You'll guide customers through every step of the exchange process, upholding our golden standard of customer service.

NO DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE NECESSARY - we will train the right candidate!

What You’ll Do:

• Build a used-car inventory through direct contacts, generated leads, off site auctions, dealers, internet inquiries from customers, or the service drive
• Manage intake and purchase process by appraising vehicles based on condition, negotiating purchase price, and processing all purchase-related documentation
• Identify acquisition opportunities through Kelley Blue Book ICO, traditional auctions, or Service Drive customers
• Monitor market and retail trends to plan inventory needs
• Collaborate with service and sales team to ensure acquired vehicles are being reconditioned as needed and sold in a timely manner
• Respond to in-store and online vehicle exchange inquiries in a prompt, professional, accurate and courteous manner
• Requires working in a fast-paced team environment, being effective as a self-starter and working individually as needs dictate

What You’ll Bring:

• 2 years of automotive industry experience
• Additional experience in retail, sales, telemarketing, or similar customer-facing roles welcomed
• Ability to work independently and meet goals with minimal oversight
• Familiarity with dealership and customer relationship management systems
• Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction and retention
• Exceptional communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people
• Strong organizational skills and tech-savvy mindset
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Total Rewards

The estimated annual earnings for this position ranges from $80,000 to $120,000. This is a performance driven position, eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which includes bonuses based on individual units acquired and manufacturer approvability.

Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
