Job summary

Truck Country® / Stoops Freightliner-Western Star in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a supervisor to manage the reconditioning process for internal used trucks. You will oversee the flow from acquisition to retail-ready status while controlling costs and ensuring compliance with company policies.

You will review estimates, supervise lot coordination and wash bay, collaborate with shops in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan, set priorities, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluency with Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving estimates for internal reconditioning work.
• Supervise Lot Coordinator and Wash Bay.
• Control costs on internal equipment by determining whether repairs proposed by shops are necessary to be performed.
• Scrutinize estimates for appropriate labor times.
• Review final costs on repair orders against approved estimates.
• Provide direction on ways to control reconditioning costs better.
• Maintain reconditioning processes including inspections, estimates/approvals, and details; suggest improvements as needed.
• Work with shops daily across Indiana, Ohio and Michigan.
• Determine locations for reconditioning work and whether hubs can handle current workflow.
• Help shops prioritize internal work to meet corporate objectives.
• Hold shops accountable for adherence to processes and approvals.
• Foster strong relationships with dealership shops, corporate, and vendors.
• Delegate work based on available resources.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
