Job summary

Truck Country® / Stoops Freightliner-Western Star in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a seasoned Training Manager to oversee certifications across six locations, coordinate schedules with the Technical Training Manager, and ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.

The role requires a technical school background with extensive related experience, plus strong MS Office skills and proven outside sales experience. Travel to dealer visits and certification maintenance is expected.

Qualifications

• Technical school plus 6 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Cat, Cummins, and Detroit certifications are met at all six locations.
• Monitor Sprinter Certification and schedule training to maintain certification for Dayton location.
• Monitor expiring engine training certificates and schedule renewals.
• Generate data reports as requested.
• Prepare and sort training documents and interpret data to be entered.
• Monitor all training data with Training Assistant.
• Monitor classroom and Engine lab; ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Maintain training aids and inventory for Dayton Training facility.
• Coordinate all Chassis training with Training Assistant.
• Project engine training class needs and work with Technical Training Manager on schedules.
• Travel as required to dealer visits or to maintain certifications.
• Consistently report to work as scheduled.

Join one of the largest Freightliner/Western Star Truck Dealership based in Indianapolis, IN. This role is integral to the development and success of our Service teams. We are seeking a seasoned professional with prior experience in heavy trucks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure Cat, Cummins, and Detroit certifications are met at all six locations.
• Monitor Sprinter Certification and schedule training to maintain certification for Dayton location.
• Monitors expiring engine training certificates and schedules renewals.
• Generates data reports as requested.
• Prepares and sorts training documents and identifies and interprets data to be entered.
• Monitors all training data with Training Assistant.
• Monitors classroom and Engine lab. Ensures both are clean and free of hazards.
• Monitors all training aids and maintains condition and inventory for Dayton Training facility.
• Monitors with Training Assistant all Chassis training
• Projects all needed engine training classes and works with Technical Training Manager to produce training schedules.
• Travel as required to perform dealer visits or to maintain any required certification.
• Consistently reports to work as scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Technical school plus 6 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Be skilled in the following areas:
