Job summary

Vanguard GMC of Sherman is seeking a skilled automotive technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at our Sherman, TX location. You will use diagnostic tools, follow manufacturer specifications, maintain detailed service records, and communicate repair needs to management.

We value a strong work ethic, teamwork, and attention to quality. A high school diploma or equivalent, automotive training, and a valid driver’s license are required; ASE certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary automotive training is a plus.
• Proven experience as an automotive technician.
• ASE certification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot automotive issues accurately.
• Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and follows manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and services performed.
• Communicate with Managers to explain necessary repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends.
