Vanguard Volkswagen of North Austin is seeking an experienced ASE/Volkswagen technician to join our service team in Austin, TX. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to manufacturer standards with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as an ASE or Volkswagen technician.
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Fast, eager learner and team player.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Clean driving record & valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles to factory standards.
• Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency.
• Test drive vehicles and components; diagnose systems.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts, and services.
• Follow safety protocols and warranty specifications.
• Coordinate with Service Advisor on additional services.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair.
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency
• Test drive vehicles, test components and systems
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor if any additional service is needed
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
• Ensure work is completed to quality standards and follows manufacturer's warranty specifications
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used and services performed
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
