Job summary

Vanguard Auto Group in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicle components. You will perform repairs, brakes and suspension work, alignments, and routine fluid changes using diagnostic tools, while adhering to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary automotive training is a plus.
• Proven experience as an automotive technician.
• ASE certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and software.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle components.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments, brakes and suspension, alignments, and fluid changes.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot automotive issues accurately.
• Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and follows manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and services performed.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
