Job summary

AutoNation, one of the nation’s largest automotive retailers, seeks a Non-Certified Technician to inspect vehicles on delivery, identify defects, and perform minor repairs to place cars in sellable condition. You’ll start engines, test drive to verify operation, and use hand and power tools to ensure quality.

The role offers paid training and OEM certification support, with competitive pay and benefits. A valid driver’s license and a passion for cars and service are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read instructions.
• Willingness to learn and obtain OEM certification.

Responsibilities

• Sign acceptance for each vehicle delivered.
• Inspect vehicles for safety compliance and defects.
• Inspect surfaces for chips and scratches in paint.
• Start engine and drive vehicle to test operation.
• Activate power equipment and ensure proper operation.
• Install optional equipment per customer specifications.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments.
