Loadstar in Lake Charles, LA is seeking an experienced Tankerman to serve as the Person-In-Charge for cargo transfers on tank barges under USCG regulations. You will oversee safe transfer, mooring, valve operations, pre-transfer inspections, and required paperwork, coordinating with dock personnel.

This full-time, 24-7 role requires licensing, TWIC, valid Coast Guard credentials, and the ability to work on-call, including nights and holidays.

Formación

• Must hold Coast Guard medical card, TWIC, and driver's license.
• On-call availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Minimum 1 year tankerman experience preferred.
• Pre-employment requirements including physical, drug/alcohol testing, and background check.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the Person-In-Charge of the vessel to safely transfer cargo per USCG rules.
• Perform pre-transfer inspections and develop cargo transfer plans.
• Monitor mooring lines and operate valves during transfers.
• Communicate with Marine Logistics Coordinator and report unsafe conditions.
• Travel to job locations as required and maintain incident-free operations.
