Loadstar in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an experienced tankerman to be Person-In-Charge during cargo transfers on barge operations. You will conduct pre-transfer inspections, open/close valves, and ensure safe transfer of liquids per USCG rules, while coordinating with dock personnel and Marine Logistics.

This is a full-time, on-site role on a 24-7 call basis. Candidates must hold current USCG licenses, TWIC, and pass pre-employment checks.

Qualificações

• Must hold current USCG license and documentation.
• 18 years or older; legally able to work in the U.S.
• One year of tankerman experience or more preferred.
• Pre-employment requirements including physical, drug and alcohol testing, and background check.
• Fluent in English (spoken, written, reading).

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the Person-In-Charge of the vessel during cargo transfer.
• Perform pre-transfer inspections and risk assessments; develop cargo transfer plans.
• Open/close valves and monitor cargo transfer per USCG regulations and company requirements.
• Communicate with Marine Logistics Coordinator and dock facility personnel; report irregularities.
• Inspect and adjust mooring lines; secure barge valves for departure; ensure safe operation.
