Job summary

Centerline Logistics is seeking an experienced Tank Barge Operator to safely transfer petroleum products between barges, ships, and facilities. You will plan loads, monitor tank levels, operate pumps and valves, and complete all required paperwork with accuracy.

The role requires staying compliant with Coast Guard regulations, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating with international crews and facility personnel.

Qualifications

• Must be at least age 18 and possess Tank Barge PIC endorsement.
• Possess a valid USCG Merchant Mariners Document and STCW endorsements.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate and 24 hr HAZWOPER.
• TWIC Card and Passport.
• Experience as a tank barge operator on oil barges is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create load/discharge plans for trim, stability, and safe cargo operations.
• Monitor product level in tanks during topping off and gauging.
• Operate cargo pumps, valves, heaters, and related equipment on barges.
• Fill out Bills of Ladings, Barge Logs, and related paperwork.
• Perform routine maintenance aboard barges and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Communicate effectively with crews and port personnel.
