Job description

Position Summary

As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What you'll do
  • Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicate effectively, develop interpersonal skills for customer service, be flexible to business needs, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
  • Be an Expert: Maintain in-depth knowledge of various meat products, equipment, and backroom operations; process meat according to specifications; ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards; operate and sanitize equipment.
  • Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, enhance the shopping experience, and engage associates; utilize handheld technology for business decisions related to production, training, and quality; adapt to and promote new tools.
  • Be an Owner: Drive business results, ensure operational excellence, plan for profitability, maintain a clean and organized work area, ensure product quality and standards, eliminate waste, secure fragile merchandise, assist members with purchasing, and ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience, model high-quality service, perform duties at the highest standards, and support training of team members.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; implement action plans; use open-door policy; and apply these in daily operations.
  • Complete work assignments by utilizing policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers and team members; prioritize tasks; communicate progress; identify improvement opportunities; adapt to change and feedback.

The hourly wage range is $18.00 to $25.00, with actual pay meeting or exceeding the minimum wage for the location. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.

Minimum Qualifications

At least 6 months of experience in a fresh production department. Must complete all required training and assessments successfully. Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred Qualifications

Optional qualifications include experience in meat processing or related fields, but none are mandatory for application.
