Position Summary

As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What you'll do

• Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicate effectively, develop interpersonal skills for customer service, be flexible to business needs, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
• Be an Expert: Maintain in-depth knowledge of different meat types and seasonality, equipment usage, and backroom operations; process meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping); ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
• Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, enhance the shopping experience, and increase associate engagement; utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and quality; adapt to and promote the use of new tools.
• Be an Owner: Drive business results through operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a high-quality work area, reducing waste, securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise, assisting members with purchasing decisions, and ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience, modeling high-quality service and products, executing tasks at the highest quality, and supporting training of team members.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these principles in business practices.
• Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; prioritizing tasks; communicating progress; identifying improvement opportunities; and learning from feedback and change.

The hourly wage range is $19.00 to $26.00.* The actual rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional premiums may be paid based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

6 months’ experience in a fresh production department.
Must be 18 years or older.
Able to complete all required training and assessments within the prescribed time.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Meat Processing Area is preferred.
