Walmart seeks a Store Manager to lead teams, manage financial performance, and deliver exceptional customer service at their Greenwood, SC location. The role includes training and developing associates, driving sales goals, and ensuring policy compliance. The Store Manager leads and develops teams by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. They communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. They introduce and lead change efforts, provide clear expectations and guidance, and communicate business objectives effectively. The manager models exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, manages customer service initiatives, and ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved. They develop and implement action plans to address deficiencies, lead process improvements, and ensure a high-quality customer experience.
They drive financial performance by reviewing profit and loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes. They develop and execute plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals. The manager provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, and recognizing staff. They promote a culture of belonging, build relationships with stakeholders, and support plans to meet customer and business needs.
The manager ensures compliance with policies and supports the company's mission, values, and ethics. They build high-performing teams, embrace diversity, create a supportive workplace, and attract and retain talent. Acting with integrity, they uphold high standards of ethics and transparency, support Walmart’s culture, and promote a positive impact for associates, customers, and the community.

Minimum qualifications include 2 years of college or equivalent experience, or a combination of retail and supervisory experience. For firearm-related positions, successful completion of background checks and certifications are required. Associates must complete all required training and assessments.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership, certification in People and Business Leadership, and experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
