A leading retail company is seeking a motivated and experienced retail supervisor to lead and develop a high-performing team. Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively.
Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, including store community and outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides recognition, and promotes a belonging mindset in the workplace. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, and identifying and communicating goals. Builds accountability, measures progress, and promotes continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Implements related action plans and supports an open-door policy to guide business practices.
2 years’ college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. Facilities selling only ammunition and with specific state requirements may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must attend and complete all required training and assessments.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. Experience supervising 5+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
