Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives, and supporting community outreach programs. Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved by developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies and leading process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing and evaluating profit and loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and monitoring inventory flow and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals for the business area. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognizing staff, while ensuring diversity and inclusion. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and fostering accountability and continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, supporting the Open Door Policy, and guiding staff on business processes. Builds high-performing teams by embracing diversity, creating a culture of belonging, and providing opportunities for all associates to thrive. 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities selling only ammunition, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and successfully complete all required trainings and assessments.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, and experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
