A leading company in retail is seeking a Store Manager who excels in team leadership and customer service. The role involves driving financial performance, ensuring compliance with policies, and developing associates. Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and effectively communicate business objectives to teams. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, including store community and outreach programs, and ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies, and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating profit and loss statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, operational processes, and develops action plans to mitigate shrinkage, ensuring sales and profit goals are achieved. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides recognition, and communicates expectations consistently and effectively, ensuring diversity and inclusion awareness and recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and building accountability for achieving results. Identifies and communicates goals and objectives, addresses improvement opportunities, and demonstrates adaptability and continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, supporting the Open Door Policy, and guiding on applying these principles in business processes. Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, creates a workplace of belonging, and fosters a culture where associates feel supported and connected. 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. Facilities selling only ammunition may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, and experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
