Position Summary

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively.

What you'll do
  1. Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives, and supporting community outreach programs. Ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved, and develop action plans to improve processes, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
  2. Drive financial performance by reviewing PL (Profit & Loss) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develop strategies to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  3. Supervise and develop hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Set clear expectations, recognize contributions, promote diversity and inclusion, and ensure staffing needs are met to support company growth.
  4. Coordinate and oversee activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting initiatives, setting goals, and measuring progress. Identify and address improvement opportunities, demonstrate adaptability, and foster continuous learning.
  5. Ensure compliance with company policies, support company mission and values, and promote ethics and integrity through action plans and policies like the Open Door Policy.
  6. Build high-performing teams by embracing diversity, creating a culture of belonging, and supporting associates' growth and development. Attract and retain talent, recognize contributions, and foster a positive work environment.
  7. Act with integrity by maintaining high standards of ethics, modeling company values, and being accountable. Support Walmart’s goal of becoming a regenerative company by making positive impacts in communities and promoting sustainability.

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46 plus differential, with additional bonuses and possible regional pay based on location. The actual wage will meet or exceed minimum legal requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year retail experience and 1 year supervisory experience; OR 2 years general work experience and 1 year supervisory experience. For firearm-related facilities, successful completion of background checks and training is required. All associates must complete required trainings and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership. Experience supervising 5+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing, is preferred.
