Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Regional Trade Compliance Manager for the United States to manage trade compliance programs. You will engage with partners across the enterprise to ensure activities comply with laws and regulations, solving complex challenges with leaders in compliance, legal, and business functions.

You will work to advance US trade compliance initiatives, report to leadership, and influence risk-based decisions while traveling and supporting relocation where needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of markets and regulatory environments; apply insights to diverse situations.
• Understanding of international trade regulations and practices.
• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships across functions.
• Ability to analyze root causes and develop solutions.
• Experience in recognizing and resolving organizational or process problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute risk assessments of customs trade compliance programs to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Business Division, Compliance, and Legal teams to support global trade and risk management.
• Oversee development, implementation, and maintenance of trade compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct training on government laws, rules and regulations for products, services and technologies.
• Proactively monitor and mitigate risks through stakeholder engagement and implement compliance strategies.
• Communicate progress and recommendations across the organization as needed.
