Job summary

Blake Clough Ltd. seeks an experienced US Power Systems Lead to grow our US consulting business. You will build client relationships, win projects, and lead technical delivery while expanding a US-based team.

This senior role requires deep power systems expertise with a strong US market network, and the credibility to act as a trusted adviser to clients. Occasional travel and collaboration with international colleagues are expected.

Qualifications

Eight+ years in power systems engineering or consulting in the US.
Master's (or PhD) in Electrical Power Systems preferred.
Proven track record of originating, winning and delivering power systems projects.
Established US client network with ability to convert opportunities into paid work.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop and secure US power systems opportunities and build a sustainable pipeline.
Develop relationships with project developers, asset owners, utilities, IPPs and large energy users.
Shape US power systems offering around client needs and regional requirements.
Lead proposals, study scopes, pricing and negotiations with responsibility for profitability.
Lead and review load flow, short-circuit, dynamic, EMT, harmonic and interconnection studies.
Provide technical advice on inverter-based resources and storage integration.
Oversee model development, validation and study submissions per utility/ISO-RTO requirements.
Provide senior technical assurance and resolve complex modelling issues.
Collaborate with international team to deliver projects and develop US capability.
Represent Blake Clough at industry events and client meetings.
