Modo Energy seeks a market analyst to own coverage of one or more US power markets and to explain market drivers, revenues, and costs for infrastructure projects. You will publish regular research that informs long-term forecasts and helps clients understand market dynamics.

You will collaborate with modeling, advisory, and revenue teams, following ISO rules and policy changes, and you will present insights to clients and at industry events.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, economics, math, physics, public policy or a related field.
• 2+ years analyzing power markets in research, consulting, trading, development, a utility, a regulator or an ISO.
• Experience explaining market outcomes with evidence and back-up.

Responsibilities

• Own coverage of one or more US power markets and publish regular analysis.
• Track market rules, assets, and forecast inputs for models; verify against data.
• Explain forecasts to clients via calls, workshops and events; present findings.
