Job summary

Leidos Energy’s Generation & Energy Infrastructure Consulting division seeks an Energy Market Analyst with a strong interest in joining a growing North American power market consulting practice. You will support independent power producers and electric utilities with energy price forecasting, market analysis, asset valuation, and strategic energy market advisory services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with two plus years of relevant experience in North American energy industry.
Strong knowledge of major US regional power markets.
Proficiency with Aurora, ProMod, or other similar utility/market simulation models.
Excel proficiency for ad hoc data analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing asset and portfolio market projections and valuation, and draft Market Consultant’s Reports for utilities, developers, financial institutions, and energy service companies.
Conduct market research and analysis individually and with colleagues, including modeling generation assets and portfolios using Leidos tools and licensed software.
Propose new approaches to evaluating emerging issues in the North American energy sector to support client needs and internal development.
