Job summary
Energy Exemplar, a global software provider for energy systems, is seeking an Energy Market Analyst to focus on US energy markets within the Power Systems team. You will model market fundamentals, forecast prices, and support strategic decisions.
You will gather requirements, calibrate PLEXOS models, and assist in pre-trade decisions and business development. Strong communication and advanced analytic skills are essential to deliver insights across governments, regulators, and operators.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of electricity markets and power trading or planning
- Experience with energy market modelling and optimization tools
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
Responsibilities
- Gather customer requirements and design PLEXOS-based modeling solutions
- Calibrate models to historical benchmarks and advise on strategy
- Develop test plans and deliver training on PLEXOS usage
- Support sales with tailored energy market insights
- Prepare market studies and present findings at conferences/go webinars
