Job summary

RWE AG in Austin, TX seeks a long-term US power market modeller to cover US electricity markets with in-house modelling and analytics. The role focuses on ERCOT, CAISO, and WECC, translating fundamentals into model inputs and scenarios, and communicating findings to stakeholders.

You will collaborate with the North America team and report to the Head of US Long-Term Power Modelling. A degree in a quantitative field is required, with strong programming and data visualization skills.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, economics, finance, math or physics.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; ability to translate data into insights.
• Experience with long-term electricity market modelling tools and data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term electricity market modelling for US markets such as ERCOT, CAISO, WECC.
• Translate market fundamentals into model inputs and scenarios.
• Collaborate across Strategic Market Analysis and present findings to stakeholders.
• Interface with databases and programming teams; build backtests and sensitivities.
