Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Power Modeling, Power Flow Analysis, Data Science, Quantitative Analysis, or related discipline.
• Experience through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills.
• Production cost modeling skills and experience strongly preferred (PSO, Promod, Aurora, etc.)
• Significant experience with programming languages (SQL, Python, etc.)
• Market design experience is a plus
• Strong communication, presentation, and report preparation skills are required
• Minimum education is High School Diploma or equivalency #LI-Hybrid #LI-ND1

Responsibilities

• Build modeling tools alongside the software vendor, partnering with that vendor and IT to productionize solutions.
• Advance the software with the developer, extending other modeling tools as requirements emerge.
• Introduce and operationalize new fundamental models across ERCOT, PJM, and additional markets as needed.
• Partner with Regulatory Policy in assessing proposed market design changes.
• Benchmark POVs on a periodic basis with the Power Fundamentals team.
• Lead market fundamentals analyses following peak events in summer and winter.
• Engage vendors to extract value from data and strengthen provider relationships.
• Balance and manage workload demands that accompany model development.
• Take on additional assignments spanning Structuring, Fundamentals, and Quantitative Analysis.
