Job summary

Summize is seeking a commercially minded US People and Talent Business Partner to support our US team across Boston and San Diego. You’ll own HR admin, advisory and business partnering, while partnering with UK-based People to ensure seamless people operations.

You will manage employee relations, payroll, benefits, onboarding and offboarding, and help drive performance, compensation benchmarking and engagement initiatives in a fast-growing legal tech scale-up.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in HR generalist, HRBP or combined HR/TA role in tech/SaaS/scale-up.
• Strong knowledge of US employment law including MA and CA, FLSA, FMLA, at-will.
• Experience managing ER cases and payroll processes.
• Experience supporting recruitment campaigns and benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for US employees on HR matters with practical, empathetic guidance.
• Manage employee relations cases end-to-end and escalate when needed.
• Support US payroll and employee benefits administration (health, 401(k)).
• Own onboarding and offboarding processes in partnership with IT, Finance and hiring managers.
• Provide HR data insights using HRIS for decision-making.
