Job description

Markage is looking for a US HR Manager to join our fully remote U.S. team.

You will own the complete human resources function for the United States. This is not a support role — you will be responsible for building and running the people operations that allow the U.S. team to scale cleanly and professionally.

Your scope includes employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, performance support, benefits coordination, policy guidance, compliance awareness, and partnering with leadership on people-related decisions. You will ensure that every employee experiences a professional, consistent, and well-managed HR process from the day they join.

As the company grows in the U.S., this role becomes the central point of accountability for people operations. Strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate independently at a high standard are essential.

Essential duties:
  • Own and lead all core U.S. human resources operations.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, ongoing support, and offboarding.
  • Provide clear, practical guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and workplace matters.
  • Partner with leadership on people decisions, performance issues, and organizational needs.
  • Ensure accurate employee records, documentation, and process discipline.
  • Coordinate benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries professionally.
  • Identify and reduce people-related risk through consistent processes and good judgment.
  • Continuously improve HR systems and processes as the U.S. team expands.
Essential requirements:
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or senior HR generalist with full ownership of the function.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment practices and core HR operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with complete discretion.
  • Ability to operate independently and own outcomes in a fully remote environment.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
  • Holds a valid Dex Management Area Director Certification (DEX-MAD) or higher Management-level Dex credential in the Human Resources & People Operations domain.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience supporting a fully remote or distributed workforce.
  • Experience in a high-growth or multi-state organization.
  • Strong process design and documentation skills.
  • Experience partnering directly with senior leadership on people matters.
