Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Government Services specialist to act as the primary contact for transactional shipment support under government contracts. You will document import/export requirements for USG shipments and guide operations on government importations, ensuring adherence to FAR/DFAR and agency supplements.

You will develop and deliver training on contract practices, participate in audits, and collaborate with Legal and business owners to ensure compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the primary contact within Government Services Team for transactional/shipment assistance related to Government compliance.
• Documents import and export processes and requirements for USG shipments in foreign countries.
• Provides guidance to operational teams around government importations (e.g., AGR, DCMA Duty-free entry, foreign government permits and pre-approvals).
• Initiates updates to Government Services conditional approvals and assists with obtaining approvals for Government Services customers.
