Expeditors International, a global logistics company, seeks a Government Services professional to ensure compliance with USG contracts. You will guide operations, manage government import/export procedures, and support audits and training across the team.

Qualifikationen

• Must be a United States Citizen and able to work at a US Expeditors branch.
• Demonstrates understanding of applicable Trade Compliance laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate experience working with applicable US Government policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrates proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
• US Military service and/or US Government employment experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Acts as the primary point of contact within the Government Services Team for transactional/shipment assistance related to Government compliance.
• Documents import and export processes and requirements for USG shipments in foreign countries.
• Provides guidance to operational teams around government importations.
• Initiates updates to the Government Services conditional approval and assists with obtaining conditional approvals for Government Services customers.
• Plans and participates in training on contract practices and other aspects of Government Service compliance within Company.
• Provides subject matter expertise in USG Acquisition Regulations (FARs, DFARs) and related applicability to Expeditors contracts.
• Ensures FAR requirements are understood and integrated into processes, technology, systems, and training resources.
• Sets audit parameters and timelines; conducts audits and reports findings.
• Provides U.S. Government Services SME on sales calls.
• Reviews prospective customers’ business to ensure it falls within Government Services scope.
• Supports transition and implementation of new Government Services customers and business.
• Creates and maintains project plans for regulatory compliance requirements.
• Trains, monitors, and guides employees on USG contracting regulations.
• Helps update operational standards and SOPs for Government Services compliance.
• Assists managers in building relationships with vendors, service providers, and government officials.
• Presents in customer webinars, seminars, and workshops as required.
• Collects contractual data and compiles reports for internal sharing.
• Keeps informed of laws and policies applicable to Trade Compliance and government contracting.
