Job summary

TMX is seeking a Market Operations specialist for the US equities team, based in New York City. You will onboard clients, manage access, and support a fast-paced trading floor while coordinating with our AlphaX US and Canada teams to ensure a smooth participant experience.

You will certify participant technology, troubleshoot complex trading issues, and help monitor the core US equities platform. SIE/Series 99 soon after hire, strong communication, and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of US financial markets experience.
• Friendly, professional demeanor in a fast-paced trading floor.
• Analytical, detail-oriented with strong problem-solving.
• Genuine interest in US equities markets and Market Operations.
• Able to learn quickly and manage time effectively.
• Strong initiative with track record of ownership.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• SIE and Series 99 certifications due within four months of hire.
• Knowledge of the FIX protocol preferred.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new clients, including setup and vendor administration.
• Support Participants with market access and troubleshoot issues.
• Help operate the US equities production trading environment and monitor activity.
• Be part of the US equities contact center providing level 1 support.
• Provide feedback to ensure optimal Participant experience.
• Contribute to business requirements, readiness, and UAT for new deliverables.
• Support Business Continuity, Incident Management and Disaster Recovery plans.
• Advocate process optimization through Participant feedback.
• Coordinate with AlphaX US teams including compliance, product, and data analytics.
