Job summary

Liberty Blume, a Liberty Global company, seeks a Director of US Accounting Operations to establish and scale the US function from our Denver offices, building a high-performing team responsible for accurate US accounting and reporting. You will lead transitions from the UK, partner with senior stakeholders, and drive standardisation, automation and control in US GAAP and SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership of accounting operations in complex finance environments.
• Experience transitioning and onboarding accounting services for US operations.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls.
• Ability to engage with CFO/VP level stakeholders.
• CPA licensed or equivalent US accounting qualification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and expand US-based accounting operations teams with recruiting and development.
• Deliver operational services that meet or exceed contractual expectations.
• Manage relationships with CFO/VP-level customers and stakeholders.
• Balance service quality, control, scalability and cost with clear recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and tech-enabled service gains.
• Partner with Technology to enable service improvements.
• Lead the US service to grow and scale in a new market.
• Oversee transitions, mobilisation and BAU delivery for new US pursuits.
