Job summary

Liberty Blume is seeking a Director, US Accounting Operations to establish and scale our Denver-based accounting services. You will build a high-performing team, own the US accounting service from transition through daily delivery, and partner with senior stakeholders to standardise, simplify and leverage technology.

The role requires deep US GAAP and SOX knowledge, CPA licensure, and proven experience in leading accounting functions in fast-growing environments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading accounting operations in a complex environment.
• Track record of delivering process improvements and automation.
• Ability to scale teams in a growth phase.
• Strong communication with senior finance executives.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Transition and mobilisation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead US accounting operations teams from Denver.
• Manage day‑to‑day delivery and client relationships at CFO/VP level.
• Align US processes with UK operations and ensure SOX compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement, automate workflows, and control costs.
• Partner with Technology for service improvements.
• Oversee transitions to business-as-usual delivery.
