Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Urology, Surgery and Subspecialty team. The APP supports inpatient care, admissions, consultations, and operative first‑assist duties across multiple subspecialties, with rotating 10-12 hour shifts.

Qualified candidates hold CT licensure as an APP, PA training, and 1+ year in urology or surgery. No call, market compensation, CME benefits, and tuition assistance are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of urology and/or surgery experience as a Physician Assistant.
• Licensure to practice as an Advanced Practice Provider in Connecticut.
• PA training and credentialing completed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical plans.
• Inpatient management, admissions, and consultations for surgical patients.
• Operate as first assistant and participate in bedside procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across urology, surgery, and subspecialties.
